Your Journey, Unfolded
Arrival in Srinagar & Mughal Garden Trails
Your representative meets you on arrival and escorts you through Srinagar's Mughal Gardens — Nishat, Shalimar, Chashma-Shahi, and Pari Mahal — all built by Emperor Shah Jahan on the foothills of the Zabarwan Range. As the afternoon settles, glide across Dal Lake on a shikara and watch the day fade into a Kashmiri sunset.
Gulmarg — The Meadow of Flowers
A 2-hour drive brings you to Gulmarg. Board the Gondola cable car for two phases of ascent: Gulmarg to Kongdoori, then Kongdoori up to the snowfields of Apharwat. In summer, the meadows are covered in wildflowers; in winter, skiing and snow activities take over. Return to Srinagar overnight.
Sonmarg — Where Kashmir Meets Ladakh
Perched at 2,734m above sea level, Sonmarg — the "Meadow of Gold" — sits at the final edge of Kashmir district, where the territory of Ladakh begins. Alpine trees line every road, and snow-capped peaks rise above crystal streams. Pony rides lead up to the Thajiwas Glacier, and a separate cab takes you to Zero Point — a high-altitude spot unlike anything else on this trip.
Srinagar to Pahalgam — The Shepherd's Valley
After checking out from Srinagar, you drive toward Pahalgam, passing through the saffron fields of Pampore and the Lidder River valley. Pahalgam is cooler and quieter — a real change of pace. Horse riding takes the family up to Baisaran, nicknamed "Mini Switzerland," a meadow framed by Himalayan peaks, waterfalls, and dense fir forests. Allow at least three hours to cover the area properly.
Betaab Valley, Aru Valley & Back to Srinagar
The last full day takes you across three valleys: the lush Betaab Valley, the remote Aru Valley, and Chandanwari — the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra. You'll need to book a local cab for these. On the drive back through Pampore, stop to pick up Kashmiri saffron and dry fruits — things worth bringing home.
Departure — With Stories Worth Telling
After a final Kashmiri breakfast, your driver escorts you to Srinagar Airport or the railway station. The mountains grow smaller in the rearview mirror, but the memories — the saffron sunsets, the glacier winds, the taste of Wazwan — travel home with you.
